THE FIRST APPOINTMENT
An hour, unhurried.
Before I measure anything, we talk — what you do, how you dress, what you reach past every morning. The tape comes out in the second half of the hour, not the first minute.
It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
The first appointment is free. Some people commission that day; others write back a month later; a few decide this isn't for them — a better outcome than a garment made out of politeness. Nothing is paid until we've chosen a cloth together.
Bring nothing, or bring everything.
You need only yourself. But if a garment has never sat right and you can't say why, bring it — it tells me more in two minutes than an hour of questions.
One honest limit.
I do every measurement and fitting myself, so the diary holds a fixed number of names each season. When it's full, it's full. If it's open now, write now.
